The development of the M2 Infantry Fighting Vehicles can be traced back to 1980, when their production first began. Following operations in the Gulf War in 1991, an improved version, the M2A2 ODS (Operation Desert Storm), was later introduced in 1996. This updated model featured the latest in electronic systems, including a laser range finder, missile countermeasure device, GPS, and digital compass antenna sensor.

After the occurrence of friendly fire incidents during the Gulf War, a Combat Identification Panel (CIP) was developed and installed on the sides and rear of the M2A2 ODS. In March 2003, M2A2 ODS units attached to the 3rd Armored Infantry Division were deployed to the front lines of the Iraq War.

Regarding the model's specifications, it has an overall length of 193mm, and the laser range finder, GPS antenna, rear sensors, and box exhaust have all been accurately replicated. The model comes with the option of two 25mm cannons and features highly durable tracks. The CIP is attached on both sides and the rear of the vehicle, and there are plenty of extra attachments, including personnel equipment such as alice packs and sleeping bags. Additionally, the model includes half-figures of a body armor-wearing commander and gunner.

The decals provided with the model represent 3 different vehicles deployed to Iraq and 3 different vehicles deployed on NATO operations. The scale of the model is 1:35.
